ZetTrans - Concessionary Fares

The Scotland-wide free bus travel was introduced in April 2007.  Anyone aged 60 years and over and eligible people are entitled to free bus travel anywhere in Scotland provided they have applied for and received the National Entitlement Card.   In addition, eligible Shetland residents will receive two free return journeys to Aberdeen each year on Northlink Ferries.

Young persons aged 16 to 18 years and full time volunteers up to age 25 years who have applied for and received the National Entitlement Card are entitled to one third off the adult single fare on all scheduled bus services.  Eligible Shetland residents will receive two free return journeys to Aberdeen each year on Northlink Ferries.

Children up to the age of 5 travel free.

Children up to the age of 16 travel half fare.
